Who Are The Camp Pastor & Worship Band?

Pastor: Wade Morris

Wade Morris will be coming to the Intensity stage as our main speaker for his first time. Wade has been speaking for years all across the United States as well as at our own church’s Easter services here in Weatherford. Wade served in several churches before God called him to travel full time as a speaker. He is the founder and producer of The Journey Bible Study series, which is a study that walks people through the reading and understanding of the books of the Bible. Wade started The Journey in a Starbucks with 14 people and it has now spread to be an individual and small group Bible study tool for people in America, Japan, Europe, South Korea and more. The Journey allows listeners to gain knowledge of the Word of God as well as a chance to apply it to their lives. To find out more about Wade, you can go to wademorris.com.

Worship: Jared Wood

Jared Wood is a worship leader and songwriter based out of Dallas, Texas. Jared’s passion is that the worship of believers everywhere would not only be expressed by the songs they sing, but more so, by the way they live their lives. Mark 12:30 says, “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart with all of your soul with all of your mind and with all of your strength.” Christ calls us to be a reflection of our God to the world in which we live. Because of that calling, we should all strive to live our lives in such a way that we sincerely worship and honor the Lord with every fiber of our being. What Is The Mission Tract?

Led by our resident Outreach Pastor, our mission tract takes place during free time and provide training and a chance for some hands on ministry in the community of Brownwood. We put the kindness of our God on display in this community through a variety of fun and interesting projects, and no prior experience is required other than attend a short orientation and begin serving. While completely optional this is a great way to discover new ways to love and serve your community in practical, tangible ways!

What Is Splashdown?

Splashdown is what we call our morning worship services. These services are a time for getting energized and ready for the day with corporate worship, prayer and a message that reinforces the biblical truths for that day.

What Free Time Activities Are Available?

During the afternoon you and your students have an opportunity to hang out and build relationships. Whether you decide to enjoy an ice cold beverage from concessions or choose to do something active there is something for everyone. From a ropes course with a zip line, lake front water-sports, paintball, archery tag, disc golf, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, horseshoes, soccer, ping pong, gaga-ball, and so much more!

What Are D-Teams?

At Intensity, students are divided into small groups called D-Teams for recreation and Bible study. These special teams are based on the grade they recently completed and provide the opportunity for your students to meet and learn alongside students from others churches from their communities and even from all over the state. Recreation is facilitated between multiple D-Teams in the same age ranges by members of our trained camp staff, who also lead the Bible studies. Each activity serves a specific purpose and is debriefed so students can make application in their lives.
